“A Day’s Work”
The Ethiopian woman spends her days working to care for her home and her family. Day after day, she patiently grinds the coffee, kneads the injera, builds a hot fire, carries the water, sweeps the house, and does the laundry. As she works, she sings.

She brings order and beauty into her world, and does so with joy. May I do the same.

I had the privilege of meeting these women on a trip I took to their beautiful country several years ago. This piece is made to honor their careful, honest work.

The original piece was painted at 18”x24”. The photo with my hand shows a 9”x12” print, for scale.

This is a limited edition print, which means that only 50 of the smaller size and 25 of the larger size will be printed before being retired. Each piece is signed and numbered.
